BTDT moms who went past their due date

I am due Saturday and while I know anything can happen, I am feeling that I am going to go past my due date. Just wondering how long you went and what happened right before you went in to labor. My doc will let me go till 41 1/2 weeks yikes!! At my last appt he said baby is very low, he was able to feel his head but that my cervix was still high. I am looking to see if I am having any labor symptoms!!!

I was induced 10 days past my due date! Most first time babies are late!

#1. Induced at exactly 41 weeks. When I was put on the monitors, they said I was beginning to contract on my own and my cervix was already thinning. Successful induction, start-to-finish 7 hours until I had my baby girl.

#2 went into labor at home when I was 41weeks. Super short labor, barely made it to the hospital.

I was induced at 41 weeks, ended up having a c-section

I was only 1cm dilated, water never broke, no labor what so ever.

I was induced at 41 weeks, 6 days, never went into labor on my own. Induction failed, I had a c-section.

I had acupuncture (to try to kickstart labor) on my due date. The next day, I took a yoga class and walked a looooot and went into labor

40wks 5 days...my water broke about 2 hours after my appt!

I was induced the first time at 40 weeks 3 days, they put in the cervidil first thing in the morning, by 5pm nothing happened. They put in another one, i stayed overnight and again nothing happened, so the dr agreed to let me go home.

I was induced again at 41 weeks 3 days, again with cervidil. the next day not much progress but my doctor would not let me go longer, so they started pitocin, no labor whatsoever. I was three cms dialated when they started the pitocin and 20% effaced. After four hours on poticin, no more dialated and no difference in effacement. They broke my water at 1pm, half hour later I got horrible contractions, but about three hours after they broke my water, there was no change in dialation and i was only 50% effaced.

I ended up having a c-section

I was induced at 40w 2d. I was already contracting when obit there, but it was irregular and I didnt feel it. They put in cervadil at 8pm. Started feeling contractions at 1am, piton at 9am I think, DS was born at 12:43 pm.

#1 - 41w3days --- I had tried almost every old wives' tale for bringing on labor....under my midwife's care I went for the castor oil option and 8 hours later I was in labor ----- but it was 29 hours of labor before LO arrived.

#2 - 40w3days -- I went into labor on my own at 4:30am; labored at home until 6:30, arrived at hospital at 7am, water broke at 8:45 and DS was born at 8:58am.

At 40w4d, I literally just woke up with contractions. Had no prior indications that labor would be starting soon. At my appt the week before I was a fingertip dilated and about 70% effaced. I woke up at 5 that morning with contractions and my son was born at 11:06 that night.

40w6d my water broke at 2:30AM

40w2d I felt so horrible, like I didn't get out of bed the entire day - stomach pains etc. Then, it just went away!

I started losing my plug after that, very mild pains.

The night before my water broke, I thought I was just having stomach pains - guess they were very early contractions!

I had a c-section at exactly 41 weeks. DS was stiill very high up and on the big side, so my OB recommended we go this route bc he felt I would have ended up with a c-section anyway.

I was scheduled for induction in the evening 4 days after my due date. But I went into labor that morning and had him that evening.

DD came 4 days late. 3 days after my due date my water broke but I never went into labor so I had to have a c-section. The night before my water broke I felt totally funky.. fuzzy, a little dizzy....

I was 4 days late. At 1am my water broke,went to the hospital, contractions were getting worse and worse pushed for about an hour my dd wasnt budging ended up with a c section .

I was schedule to be induced at 41wks.

At my 40wk 2 day appt i was 1.5 cm dilated. At 40wk 5d I started to have spotting(losing mucous) at 40wk 6 d I started having contractions every 10 min then every 3-5 for an hour. Went to the hospital I was between 3-4 cm. They broke my water and I had the baby the day I was supposed to be induced.

I was induced exactly a week after my original Due Date. DD was born the next day. I get the feeling that she would STILL be in my belly if they didn't induce me. lol. She was in position ever since 34 weeks or so, but I never dilated more than a cm

My twins were sched. c-section, I was trying for a vbac with my 3rd... at 40w3d went for a BPP and the results were pretty bad, so I had a c-section the next day. Never went into labor with any of my kids.

DD was 1 day late.

on my due date i just felt sort of extra tired than usual and kinda just sat around all day. woke up the next day at 6am with contractions and DD was born at 11:58pm that night.

I did a lot of walking (three 3 mile walks) the week leading up to my due date and I think that helped.

I was admitted to the hospital after having low amniotic fluid at 40w4d. I had my DS at 40w6d.

I went into labor on my own 10 days past my due date...Nothing really "happened' before my labor. Actually the morning that I went into labor, I woke up like any other day & did my morning chores. Felt no different & all of a sudden contractions hit me full force...I delivered DS 7 hours later

40 weeks 6 days
water broke at 2 am. went to hospital at 7 am
had mild contractions was 1 cm when i got to hospital. they put me on pitocin but it didn't help much (in 10 hrs i only got to 3 cm)
after 19 hrs, we did a c-section. turns out Ds was sideways anyway so it was a good call!!
