BTDT: toddler bed transition and a weekend road trip?
Moms that transitioned to toddler beds: My sister's wedding is coming up soon and we'll be in a hotel for three nights. Is it a bad idea to move DD tomorrow into her toddler bed, and then into a PNP for the following weekend? Is the PNP still ok for future trips once she's transitioned? If not, what does she sleep in? Help?

Can she sleep in the bed with you instead of the pnp? We just spent 2 nights in a hotel and got a king bed and she slept with us. She did great and slept all night long. Theres no way she would have gone into a pnp after sleeping in a toddler bed now.

My nephew (who is 3) transitioned into a toddler bed/full bed and is still able to go back and forth from a pnp to a bed without a problem. However he has been transitioned for a few months.

I'd give it a shot, but that's not going to go over well with Dh

i personally would just wait to transition into a bed-- if you make a big deal of going into a bed, and then the next weekend is technically in a "crib", it sends mixed messages.
You can also get inflatable toddler beds, or make a bed on the floor in the hotel room.

Re: BTDT: toddler bed transition and a weekend road trip?
I had a similar situation. I had to put DD in a toddler bed around 20 months bc she was climbing out of her crib. Once she did it a few nights in a row I got a toddler bed . She did well for a week and then we went to Disney for a week where she slept in a pack and play. I was worried that her smooth transition to the toddler bed would be ruined bc of the Disney trip but when we came back she transitioned very well back into the toddler bed.
Thats just my experience.
Good Luck!
