I had a c-section Thurs and the earliest I could go home was Sunday, but the doc said I could stay until Monday if I wanted. I didn't sleep well at all in the hospital so I decided to go home Sunday morning.

I had DD Monday and came home Friday, honestly I think it has to do with your insurance and how much time "they" agree to pay for.

Had DS Sunday, went home Thursday. When the doctor checked on me Tuesday morning, she told me I was OK to go home on Wednesday if I wanted, but if not, she would discharge me on Thursday, since that was what my insurance covered. I stayed the extra night. I had a private room and needed the extra night of sleep.

I had DD at 1:40pm Friday and went home 11:30am on Sunday, I hate the hospital

I had my scheduled c-section 11AM on Friday and went home that Tuesday morning. They offered to let me go home on Monday but i passed that up and boy am I glad I did. I got a great night of sleep the last night and really needed it.

I had her on a Tuesday night and went home Saturday afternoon. I had complications and my DD didn't go for another 3 days. It was the worse 3 days of my life.

I know you don't like hospitals and that you don't want to leave D for a long stretch but if you need the time, take it. As much help as everyone is going to provide at home, you KNOW that you won't rest and D is going to be confused, etc. about the new baby (which might lead to outbursts, etc.). Milk the rest for as long as you can.
A trouble free C and quick recovery for you

I had my emergency c on Tuesday afternoon. They wanted to send me home Friday..I opted till Saturday since insurance covered it. I honestly could have even stayed until Sunday with the way I was feeling!
I cant wait for this baby!!!!!!
