i am just curious i guess..
and now i just come to realize after being on here for a little bit that even though we all have our different situations.. we join together nicely.. i really like that!

I have been posting here since the beginning, but I wish I wasn't.  I hope no one is offended by that, I don't mean it bad to anyone who doesn't have a child, but I want one and it's just not happening for us.

aww, don't worry.
i am right there with you.. although i haven't been here in the beginning.. we long to have a child.
but are having problems too, but i do think this board helps for that situation.

"meeting" all the ladies here has helped me accept my situation a little better. I know that being childless (for whatever reason) doesn't have to be the bad thing I thought it would be. Thank you all for helping me understand that and feel more comfortable about my situation.

By choice...I tried to force myself to feel differently for years- and it just never came naturally for me- the wanting of children.
I am finally coming to terms with that fact that it doesn't mean there is something mentally wrong with me- and that others share my feelings on the matter as well!

I think another poster put it best for my situation, somewhat by default, not by choice. Never met the right person when I was younger, met my now DH in my mid 30's. He didn't want children because he suffers from a chronic health condition (not life-threatening but very uncomfortable and difficult for him to live with daily) and he did not want to risk passing it on. By that point I decided being childless with the right person was more important than having children with the wrong person. After we married he did have a change of heart and we rolled the dice for about a year, but by then I was in my mid 40's, it wasn't meant to be, and so here we are.
