AWESOME!!
As a mom who has been there before (first son was very delayed, many issues..) i know first hand how much those accomplishments mean.
Your child as well as YOU have worked hard to get there...you are an amazing mom and sound so proud , as you should...congrats!! What a nice post to read!!

Congratulations!!! As the mother of a child with speech issues, I understand how huge something like this is, and I am so happy for you!
As for posts about how much other kids are saying, I would skip them now. I understand that feeling, you don't want other children to struggle, but it's hard to read about their achievements when your DC isn't t there yet.
I hope he's on his way, but I am glad you are hearing Mama! Glad for him too, he must be proud of himself.

I just wanted to say YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!! for your ds' saying "mama" !!! It's the most amazing, amazing, amazing accomplishment for him (since I am sure it was something he has been dying to say for months ) and of course for you, for being the kind of "mama" who will savior each and every little wonder your son accomplishes. You both so deserved that moment , and believe me those moments will continue!!!!

OMG I have tears in my eyes!!
I am overjoyed for you!! My DS is 4 & severly speech delayed, so i completely get it! I never wanted to assume that DS would even come close to saying his own name, yet just a couple months ago out of nowhere he did and has been since
I am so excited for you both! It is such a wonderful feeling when after all that hard work, you are repayed, and with "Mama" What a great day!

I'm so happy for you and your DS! I remember when my brother was having the speech therapist come to the house. She worked with him on saying "ball" for 45 minutes and when he finally said it EVERYONE cried! What a great accomplishment for your son!
