Can you speak another language?
If so, what?
For me, i understand the Filipino language of Tagalog but i cant speak it fluently for some reason. i answer back in english.

I speak & write Japanese 'conversationally'. I took it for 4 years as a 'special' program in HS and then 3 semesters in college.
Eventually DH and I plan to move to Costa Rica, so we both want to learn Spanish.

I'm pretty fluent in Spanish---i have the same issue where I can understand it more than i can speak it.
i chalk that up to my parents talking to me in spanish and i would answer them in english for most of my life.

i can squeak by in french if i have to but i am VERY rusty. i can also read hebrew, although i cannot translate or understand what it is i am reading.

At one point I was fluent in both.

I have been learning Cantonese. I can understand better than I can speak. It is a VERY difficult language. My husband has been speaking it since he was born and he isn't even fluent. 
I speak enough French to get around in Paris.

I used to know Spanish quite well but I've forgotten more than I learned over the years.
I can say "Hello, how are you?", "I love you.", "Thank you", "You're welcome" and call you an @sshole in Russian. My husband and his family are fluent.

conversational spanish from what i remember from high school.
i also know a few general sentences in french
and a few words in greek
