I didn't think they would find her on Murder One because of the lack of evidence but definitely on the child abuse and maybe even the aggravated manslaughter.

I agree. I thought for sure they would get her on manslaughter. What a sick, sick world. I cannot believe how quick it took the jury to find her not guilty. 31 days and she does not report her child missing. I'm more angry at the jury than anything

I do have to say that I will be happy to not have to hear Nancy Grace say "tot mom". Makes me cringe every time.
Can the state appeal?

No they can not appeal. Once you are found Not Guilty you can not be charged with the crime ever again. She can come out and say exactly what happened and it wouldn't matter now. She got away with it.

No appeal - no retreat. It's called double jeopardy. Same with OJ. I heard there is talk of him wanting to confess (I hope it's to Oprah) and not a single thing can be done to him.
7 women on a jury and not one mom wondered how a woman can party and go get tattoos when their child is missing- and 30 day!!! This defies all common sense. I can't wait to hear one of the jurors explain the reasoning. This was sooo darn fast.

If there is found to be jury misconduct, like talking about the case amongst each others while being sequestered when the judge told them not to....can the verdict be overturned, and have a new trial?

WOW! This is what George and Cindy's attorney said this morning on GMA:
On Tuesday, a jury acquitted Casey Anthony in her daughter Caylee's death. Lippman says her parents were shocked that the jury found no evidence against her because prosecutors "did a fantastic job."

from what i am hearing, no. she will never be re-tried for this case.

Most likely by the end of this year (if not by the weekend) Casey's pictures will be all over the "Celebrities and Entertainment Board".
She's going to make a profit, hand over fist. She had a part in that child's death, whether you believe by accident or by murder - and she is going to profit beyond belief. That's where our system fails.

I am thinking most of the jurors will talk for a "small" fee!
I thought it was mentioned (maybe on NG) that a mis trial could be called if the jurors come out after the fact and reveal they considered something that shouldn't have been considered (i.e. something stricken) Is this true?

A 33-year-old white male who has worked as a chef and now sells restaurant equipment. He has two young children, a 6-year-old boy and a 21-month-old girl.
Pre-Trial Publicity: He said he could set aside any information that he had heard and be objective. He said he understood that the burden of proof was on the state.
Death Penalty: Although he had some reservations, he said he could vote to recommend the death penalty. "I think if the law dictated it, I would be able to follow it."

but in a way I totally get it.
he was away from his family (w/ 2 small children) and away from his job for over a month in a hotel room...
so I guess in his mind, this is a way of being compensated for being away for that long..
I'm not saying I would do it- but I get it.

I have to say I agree. Also, if any of these people come forward they are going to be hounded by the media. They will have no privacy and they will open themselves up to god knows what. I do believe that some people are willing to do this for a price, and unfortunately some news programs are willing to pay it. It doesn't make it right but unfortunately it's the ways things operate in this country.

Anyone watching??? Jurors expressed they thought she was guilty but that the prosecution didn't deliver the evidence. They said that if they had more evidence they would have entered a guilty verdict. Theybsaid they were sick to their stomachs with this verdict because they don't beleve she is innocent but because of the law they had to enter the verdict they did. :(

I'm watching abc and she said nothing about being "sick" she said that basically there was no evidence. I'm sorry, I know it must not be easy for the jurors but I just don't get it. It's like they were watching a completely different trial.

On iPad and can't edit but I did bear that juror no. 3 was sick over having ti decide nit guilty but she didn't say that on abc.

Yeah she said it and was also quoted on CNN saying it as well as the other juror.
They said that that was part of the reason they didn't do interviews right after and the reason she was crying.
She said they all believed she did it but could not enter a guilty plea due to the lack of evidence :( she said all of them just cried and cried over it
