Yes. This + the unanswered questions, the 'missing' child, the lies...all of it together.
I think it has more to do with the fact that she is attractive, middle class and the circumstances surrounding the child's death/disappearance. very, very unusual. if she strangled her and the baby was discovered the next day and she was arrested, this would not have been such a high profile case.

Although it's unfortunate people are not surprised when crime is commited in the lower class community. Look at the little girl Haleigh Cummings also from Florida who I believe is still missing last seen by her step mother. They are also white but they are poor. Casey came from a middle class family, she's attractive add that to the circumstances surronding the case, the lies, partying and everything else and viola you have a case that captivates people.

If she KNEW that Caylee wasn't missing, then WHERE was she and who was caring for her? She was two years old. How can the child's mother not know where her child is...there obviously was no nanny. I feel like trying to resonate these reasons is ridiculous because everything that CA claimed made NO SENSE...all facts point to CA, that she is the only one that knows what happened to Caylee and why she is no longer alive.

Considering that there is petitions now to make not reporting a child missing makes me think it isnt already a crime.
And again- some people are forgetting that she already knew where she was so she was never really "missing". .

Not sure if this includes time for good beahvior but if it does I think this would mean that she would stay in jail for approx another 1.15 yr.

If you really use your common sense here, it just wouldn't even make sense for George to help hide the body of his grandaughter that he found lying in a pool. Doesn't make sense at all.

She will get about 2.9 yrs credit and will serve just over 1 more year... from what I just read.

It is weird that the judge is doing it. Usually it is up to corrections. The judge gives the sentence and leaves it at that. It is typically up to corrections to work it all out.

Seems like it, but I guess because she gets credit for good behavior or something, it is taking longer.
If her restitution starts in February of 2012 though, I would guess that is when she will be released, or maybe the month before. Since obviously she can't pay while she is in jail.

I agree with you that the family is totally messed up and the apple did not fall far from the tree. Esp. with Cindy. She got up there and lied basically telling her daughter it's okay. She helped create that monster imo. I don't believe George had anything to do with the cover. However, I respect your opinion. You should not have to feel like you will get flamed for it. We are all entitled to our opinions. I honestly would be interested in hearing you theory. No flaming from me!

Yeah I think that's the total fine ($1k per charge) plus the courts costs. This doesn't include the money the State will seek for the money spent looking for her child when she already knew she was dead.
ETA: Don't think she gets any probation time.
