Children in the future, or no?
I'm just curious to see how many of you do not want kids and for those who do, how long you want to wait.

Oh and please, I'm not asking WHY because that's none of mine or anyone else's business lol I'm just curious if there are people out there LIKE ME who want a baby, but this second isn't the right time.

we want at least one child in the future. we're pretty much ready for a baby- been married 4 years, we've traveled and done lots of things together, we have the house, both have good jobs, money saved, etc.
for us, i can't have biological kids, so we'll have to adopt--- its a long, and EXPENSIVE process so its a really scary thing to think about starting!!
we're starting to look into agencies- i want to start the process in the next couple months because it takes awhile.

I think you're forgetting about those of us in limbo. Want kids but are having fertility issues and don't know what the future holds...so don't know how to answer that poll...

My DH and I married when we were in our early 50's.
So, we aren't going to have children.
If we had met earlier, we probably would have had a child.
All our children have paws.....

We would love to have children (hopefulle within the next year or so), but realize that right now is it the perfect time for us, but at the same time, we are both in our early 40's so it may be difficult for us to have a child.

We are very much on the fence. We love our life and the freedom not having children allows us. If we do decide on a child we will be adopting. It may sound weird but I have no desire to ever be pregnant

maybe start trying as early as next year 
i def dont want it to happen anytime too soon though - we want to get our house first and get settled since we'll be re-locating sometime this year...

We want children, and are very much ready to TTC, but money concerns are holding us up. I just worry too much that we won't be able to give our children everything they deserve. I worry that I'll get pregnant and then one of us will lose our job and it just scares me. I told DH if it doesn't happen by surprise, I may never be able to actually start TTC because I'm horrible at letting go of my worries and making big decisions. It stinks because we are both obsessed with having a baby right now. We discuss names, furniture placement, pick out baby items, etc.

About 5 years ago I might have said yes in the future.
But as time went on we realized that it's just not for us and we were just saying that and pushing it off to conform to what everyone thought we should do.
Truth is, we have gotten this far without kids and love our life so much that it's pretty much 100% that it's not going to happen.
