Convertible Carseat seat cover?
Does that exist?
We have an Evenflo Tribute V seat. Is there such a thing as a washable cover that I can put over it?

Re: Convertible Carseat seat cover?
Do you mean over it like a blanket or as a seat protector?
If you are looking for a seat protector, it is not recommended to put anything between your child and the seat unless specifically allowed by the seats manufacturer. Evenflo does not recommend any aftermarket accessories for their seats. These items can interfere with proper harness placement and snugness causing injury. They also don't normally have the flame retardant properties that carseats come with.
Is it for potty training? If so you can lay a plastic shopping bag under your child to protect the seat in case of an accident. I've also seen techs recommend Puppy Piddle Pads/Chux under your child's bottom.
I actually bought a second cover for my seats so I can have a clean one at all time. Great use for Craigslist car seats, buy the seat, salvage the cover, trash the seat itself....
As for over it? They usually only make the covers for infant buckets. I've never seen one for a convertible, except the bundle me which shouldn't be used in the car.

Re: Convertible Carseat seat cover?
I want it for a few reasons..
1) He has had a few "accidents" (diaper leaked etc) and it needs to be cleaned.
2) My DH and I bought 2 of these seats, one for each car, and at the time my DH was unemployed, the price was right for the 2 seats but now I can't stand it. It just seems so uncomfortable for him and not cushiony enough. I wanted to see if there was something I could put on to add a little more cushion!

Re: Convertible Carseat seat cover?
Try the Chux under him for the accident issue.
For the comfort issue, you're better off looking to purchase a new seat if you have the money. Tribute is a pretty bare bones seat but you can't add additional padding to it, it's dangerous. You could purchase 1 seat for the car he's in the most and keep the extra Tribute as a backup.I'm not sure of your budget, but Walmart.com has the myride for 129 right now if you wanted to go that route.
