Cradle cap question

Has anyone used Sebulex shampoo? Victoria's pediatrician suggested we try Head & Shoulders first but it really did not clear up her flakes so we've moved onto Sebulex. It's medicated and has left a bad smell on her hair (like smoke after a fire was put out)
Anyone experience this?

Re: Cradle cap question

I never used that. I took a soft toothbrush and rubbed olive oil into his scalp and left it in for about an hour. Then shampooed it. No flakes ever since then, my DS had only a mild case of it though.

Re: Cradle cap question

I just used baby oil. I massaged the oil on and then combed hair with a comb. oh my goodness all the flakes. I washed her hair. and then repeated doing before every bath, and got less and less flakes, and then no more cradle cap.

I used put Aquaphor on my DS and then combed it out of his hair. Then of course I gave him a bath.

Re: Cradle cap question

Wow! Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I had no idea I could use baby oil or that Johnson & Johnson's made something. I'm throwing out this other stuff today!

Re: Cradle cap question

I also found that using the Mustela hair abd body soap helped with cradle cap. I don't think it dries the skin as much as some of the others.

My DD is 8.5 months and still has scales that come off her scalp every once in a while Chat Icon Haven't tried that stuff though.

The head and shoulders worked for us, but it took a while, like 5 months.

I didn't even notice it on Tori, Christopher was so bald it was SO noticableChat Icon
