Daycare Pull-Up Request - WWYD

This is so silly but I have to ask WWYD.

DS is daytime potty trained. I bought my last case of pull-ups a few weeks ago because we still put them on him during nap (which he only does at school) and at night (90% of the time he wakes up dry anyway).

I told myself last week that as soon as this case of pullups is gone we're done with them and he goes 100% underwear. Probably about another month or so.

This morning in his new class his teacher wrote me a note that she wants me to bring in pull-ups that come apart at the side (the Huggies). I have him in the Pampers easy ups because they were on sale and they don't come apart at the side unless you rip them.

Now, I know it is easier for them to have the side ones so they don't have to take his pants off to put them on for nap. But I'm honestly wanting to tell them to deal with it. I'm not buying anymore pull-ups!

Do you think I'm being mean about it if I just tell them to deal with it? Or would you just get him the huggies?

Tell them no....He is wearing what he has and nothing else. If they want them, let them buy them...Those things aren't cheap!

Agreed. If he was wearing underwear would they request underwear that opens on the sides? Chat Icon

I usually try to make their life easier if I can - I would buy the pull ups they requested and save the others for home -

I'd tell them to use what they have. how do they know that you are not using those because your child has a sensitivity, or they hold it better, or its more comfortable.

You shouldn't have to go out and buy something different to make their lives easier. IMO

I think it's perfectly reasonable to explain to them that you were planning to stop using Pull-ups altogether once this box is finished, and ask if they wouldn't mind just using these until the box is gone and then he won't be wearing them anymore anyway.
