Details emerge in Cobb Co. Georgia toddler death investigation
I heard a story not too long ago about a father who drowned his child in a NJ river by tying a car jack to her car seat and tossing the car seat in the river. I cried when I read that and it is still haunting me. I just don't understand how someone can harm their own child. We live in a very sick world and evil is real and exists among us. I can't fathom it...

All I want to do right now is go home and hug the shit out of my daughter. And then, I just want to cry and cry and cry.
I know how you feel! I'm trying so hard right now NOT to wake DS up from his nap.

To me, when I watched his interview, he didn't seem sincere or sorry enough for something so tragic. JMO.

Details emerge in Cobb Co. Georgia toddler death investigation
I haven't read anything about the wife, or heard any quotes from her. Not that I would be in any condition to speak if this was my son, but I'm really curious what this guy's motive was. I can't wrap my head around someone doing this. The fact that he went to check the car midday is what chills me to my core.

Details emerge in Cobb Co. Georgia toddler death investigation
I distinctly remember so many people on here defending that school principal who did the same EXACT thing several years ago. She went to work, didn't drop the kid off. She went out to her car TWICE that day, I believe once was to retrieve the donuts she bought, and didn't see her kid dying or dead in the carseat. Is it that people are more sympathetic to a woman than a man?
In any event, I still can't fathom how people forget their kids in their car period, and agree this guy should be punished legally for it.
As far as the dying animal searches, this is the first I've heard of that, and this story is all over the HLN.

This calls to mind the story last year about the guy who threw his son off a building in NYC. I think he jumped as well? It was to get back at the wife in a custody battle. So freaking tragic.

No, and that is my point. She went out to the car twice in the day, and no one was ever saying it was intentional.

Right but she didn't have internet searches in her computer history on how long it takes an animal to die in a hot car.

My stomach turned reading that and I cried. I hugged my kids. I can't believe anyone could be that incredibly intentionally inhumane to their own child or any child for that matter.

I feel sick after reading that. And his google search. An animal to die in a hot car?!?! I would never in a million years do that on purpose to any living thing, let alone your own flesh and blood. I'm so sick to my stomach
This is right up there with Casey Anthony. Another disgusting piece of sht that if I ever saw I would probably physically harm them.

I agree - he probably went there during lunch to see if he was still alive. How horrible.
Well, I just hope someone leaves him in a hot car to die. If these allegations are true, he should have to suffer the same horrible death.

Piece of disgusting, worthless trash...............I hope they do ungodly things to him in prison. Then, may he rot in hell.
That poor baby, I cannot imagine his horrific suffering. I can't believe a father would ever to do to their child.

Re: Details emerge in Cobb Co. Georgia toddler death investigation
UPDATE: The autopsy on a 22-month-old left in an SUV determined the child died from hyperthermia and the manner is consistent with a homicide, Cobb County police said Wednesday afternoon.

There seriously has to be something disturbingly wrong with a human being who can harm their own child. Their OWN child. I mean, I would DIE for my child. I'd kill for her. How can you possibly harm your own flesh and blood? It's incomprehensible.
I hope to God they are wrong, because if they aren't I don't want to be a member of this society anymore.
I agree word for word with all of this. That poor baby. I keep looking at his innocent face and all I can do is cry. I just think of him suffering for so many hours. It's just beyond cruel.

I saw that on the news. Some of these stories with forever haunt me. Even more so now that I'm a mom. Your child depends on you to take care of them and keep them safe. They TRUST you to do that and then to die at the hands of the person they trust most in this world. I can't even let my mind go there. Those poor innocent souls.

Re: Details emerge in Cobb Co. Georgia toddler death investigation
I can't get this story out of my mind. It's just beyond horrifying.
I just keeping thinking about that poor sweet baby and what he must have gone through. I can't imagine putting my son or DD into a hot car and walking away............on purpose!!! How do you do that to this sweet innocent baby that you brought into the world?!?!?!?!
I just want to cry every time I think about him all alone in that sweltering car.............he was probably so scared, hungry, thirsty. My DS is only 15 months old and he gets upset when I leave the room for a minute, I can't imagine him being abandoned for hours in those conditions!!! How frightening.
I just needed to vent. This whole thing is just so upsetting. I'm all for an eye for an eye. They should put his disgusting ass in a car with the HEAT on FULL blast in the middle of summer in the desert. Let him suffer a long, slow death.
What is wrong with this world we live in??????
