Did your child have the Hepatitis A vaccine?
My daughter had her five-year old well visit today and only had left her 2nd dose of her Dtap/Polio vaccine until she's 10, I think our Dr said. She then mentioned the Hepatitis A vaccine and said they recommend it now and when I asked if most children get it she said more and more are. Please let me know if your child had it.

DD just had her second dose of it and she is 2.5. Our Ped explained that this is the type of Hepatitis that children are susceptible to

Yes. First dose was at 15 mo. It can be transmitted through food or water by someone who had it so we got it.

Did your child have the Hepatitis A vaccine?
Hummmm, this is odd. I was told my DD was done now and I always had her do her shots since birth. My Dr made it sound like this was a shot that just recently young kids are getting. Maybe since she's five and your kids seem younger it's only recent that it's becoming more important?

My daughter is 4.5 years old, and she got her first dose at 1, and the second at 1.5.

It's not mandatory I believe. That's why we never did that one. 5 yo here and still not discussed at well visit.

It's not mandatory. We had a scare over the summer where a restaurant worker in Southampton said he had it. The hospital was offering it to everyone who had eaten there. My DS did get it before hand, prob at 15 months.

My DD was given it , by mistake, at 1 month old. 
It's my understanding that it's usually given at 1 year. My DD had no ill effects from getting it so early though .
