MY mom is deceased, my MIL is Jewish and was superstitous about planning it so my BF planned it for me.
If she is crazy I would limit her involvement. Give her a set number of people she can invite and a firm date as to when your mom needs names and addresses... of course make this date a week earlier than you would relaly need them

No but she did pay for the liquor (which she and my SIL drank most of) and the birds nest favors

Yes and she really wanted to be involved too. Afterall, the babies are as much her grandchildren as they are my mother's.

I think she & my mom split the cost of the shower, but I don't think she helped plan it. The only reason was it wasn't necessary - my mom is a pretty good cook.
She had say in the guest list, of course & invited her relatives & friends.
