DISGUSTED!!! UPDATED
I am so ******! I started my IVF Medication on Saturday. I usually do 3 Bravelle and 2 Menopur in the morning and then again at night. So I take 10 doses a day - I am a poor responder. Anyway, the nurse Saturday morning told me I am only doing 3 Bravelle and 2 Menopur a day - only 1x a day. So this morning I go for my first office visit and of course they are only seeing 3 follies. So I asked the Doctor why am I only doing one dose a day instead of doing a dose in the morning & another at Night??? He said, your suppose to be doing it 2x a day! THE NURSE TOLD ME THE WRONG INFO!!! So I said, does this mean this cycle is ruined? He said, well start today taking your med's morning and again at night and we'll see what happens. I felt like saying, "Well, why don't you give your staff together and have a talk on how important it is to give the right information to patients because if not, this can REALLY EFFECT THEM EMOTIONALLY and PHYSICALLY". I just feel like I wasted a cycle and medication!
This is day five of the medication, do you think more follies can grow or is what I have pretty much it? Isn't this to late in the cycle to start growing more? I mean usually by Day 10 you are going for egg retrieval....

That stinks! But you can go longer then 10 days! I stimmed for 13 days this past cycle. Each person is different!
Good Luck to you and from now on, I would only speak to the dr.

I definitely stimmed for more than ten days - and I ended up overstimming - you should get more to grow, but I would definitely ask to talk to the nurse about this.
I mean, she may have just made a mistake, but it's very emotionally draining.

you may still grow more, I stimmed like 14 days. But if you dont I would talk to your MD about coverting to an IUI and/or eating the charges since you have alot invested at the mistake of his staff

Well, unfortunately, as expected, only two follies there - one very small and the other on the larger side. Usually at this time they would say, "lets cancel this cycle" but now all of a sudden (since they are in fault) they are like, "well lets wait until Monday". So I have to continue this until Monday knowing in my heart its not going to help.
I saw the nurse that screwed up. I gave her the opportunity to say something or apologize or just acknowledge to me that she made an error. She didn't say a word. SO, I said, I guess the doctor told you that you gave me the wrong information???" She said, Yes, and I feel so bad. I said, "Yeah me too especially when I only have two eggs and wasted a cycle." She just walked away from me.
Was I to harsh? I gave her the opportunity to say something and she didn't. Had she apologized I would have let it drop and said, "I know, everyone makes mistakes".

you were completely in the right - an apology was definintely necessary, and I would push to cancel the cycle .. they're your eggs and unless something major happens over the weekend, I'd prepare to cancel

They didn't even apologize I would be pizzed off. No I don't think you were too harsh. On top of the fact that stims cost major $$$$ they put you through an unneccesary emotionol and physical rollercoaster.

You were totally in the right and she should have apologized...it's incredibly rude that she just walked away.
As others have said, you should demand they reimburse you for the meds of this cycle and cancel the cycle.
