I am disgusted by this
An incredible story out of western Ohio. A baby has survived after police say the infant was left alone in an apartment for three weeks.
The mother, 20-year-old Ashley Traylor, has been arrested and charged with criminal abuse. Police say the seven-month-old baby was nearly lifeless when he was found at an apartment complex in Covington, Ohio. The baby boy hadn't eaten for three weeks, and his diaper hadn't been changed.
A neighbor was the first to discover the child. "His face was all sunk in from... Basically from his body eating off himself... Like he'd just been starving."
The child is now being treated for severe malnourishment and is in fair condition. Police say the mother was staying with a friend for those three weeks. According to the friend, the mother said her son was with a baby-sitter. Friends of the mother say it was common for Traylor to leave the boy alone when she went to nightclubs.
ETA: I heard on the news yesterday that she is pregnant again

 Why are these people allowed to have kids.
My sister (Nancy6485) is 20 and a mom.
The "going out" has stopped. Maybe they will go to dinner and I will babysit, but when robbie was born, Nancy grew up!
What is wrong with these people?? UUUGGH

That is absolutley horrible!! I hope they lock her up for good!
ETA - the story says she also has a 3 yr old in foster care!! 
time to get her tubes tied!

Age is no excuse on how you treat your baby...I was 17yrs old when I had my daughter and you grow up real fast...if you cant then you should give your baby to someone who will love him/her and treat them right

IMO age certainly does play a factor..
Age and circumstance!
Certain people at a young age can and are equiped to deal with being thrown into this kind of circumstance
Some young teens that have no money, no education, no support ARE NOT! They are the MOST vulnerable disasters occurring

Seriously, how could a baby survive without water for three weeks? Dehydration would set in a very short time for a baby like that.
In any case, she's a POS for leaving her little one.
