Do I need a Maternity Winter Jacket??

I bought a winter Jacket today at Destination Maternity for $159. I feel like that's a lot for a jacket I will only need for a month or so.

My Due Date is Dec 21. So really I only need it for a few weeks. I tried on my normal winter jacket which fits, but just cant button it.

So should I just wear my normal Winter Jacket and just wear it unbottoned ( for the few wks of winter) I will be pregnant??? And then return the Destination Maternity Jacket.

Or Keep the Destination Maternity Jacket b/c I will want something warm to wear and be able to close???

Thanks Ladies for the help!

Hmm .. I would get a winter coat but a less expensive one. That sounds like a pretty good compromise to me since you're torn.

I saw the ladies talking about a less expensive one from Old Navy the other day. That's what I would do! Chat Icon Trust me, it's hard to imagine now when it's not freezing cold, but you will WANT a jacket you can close!!

I'd get a cheaper one. I got one from the Gap on sale for $40 Chat Icon and it was so warm!

Totally crashing...but I had this same issue, along with the same due date as you, but last year :)

I wound up not getting one, and lasted on just heavy wrap sweaters, hats, and maybe a scarf.

Good Luck to you, and happy 3rd trimester :)

Re: Do I need a Maternity Winter Jacket??

you wont need it trust me. return the jacket. I bought one for the winter when my dd was due in april and i only wore it a handful of times because i was sooo hot towards the end. i wore jackets open with scarfs because the winter coat i bought was too hot.
I say bring it back date twin :)

I didn't get a winter jacket my last pregnancy. I was due 1/15 and they were born 12/30. I just wore my regular jacket unbuttoned

Thanks so much Girls!!

I am going to return the jacket. I think my usual winter jacket will do until my Due Date. I will just leave it open and stuff a large scarf in to keep me extra warm ( if needed)
