Do you consider yourself a "City" person or a "country" person?

I am so a City type of person. I lived in NC for several years and was bored to death so I moved to LI to be close to a big City. I love LI.

What type do you think you are?

I am a country bumpkin and proud of it! Chat Icon I lived in Queens until I was 7, then moved out to the North Fork where I stayed until I was 20. Then back into Queens again until it drove me nuts and I had to come back home- so now DH and I are back out on the North Fork!

I am so split down the middle - I loved living in Vermont and being nature, hippy girl, and am a barefoot, hairy, filthy hootin and a hollerin' festy chick for a week each July, but then I love to glam up, look cute, and party in the city too....

City folk here....

DH and I searched high and low until we found an apartment right in the thick of everything on main st. we don't mind all of the noise and hoards of people... and we love being able to walk to shops to run errands.

I grew up in a classic suburban area, and grew weary of having to get into the car and drive 10 min just to get milk or eggs... I also would get bored with only lawns (no people) around........

I lived in Manhattan for 4 years and I miss it. Still, I am not sure if I am totally a city girl by nature.

I am a city girl, but what I love about where I live is that I can be in the Country (And I mean the country...dark bleak Wuthering Heights kind of country) in about 20 minutes. IN MY CAR of course.

City! I grew up in Suffolk and as soon as I could I moved to Manhattan. Been here for almost 12 years and DH and I can never imagine moving. The only thing is I wish my parents would move closer so I could see them a lot more Chat Icon

country all the way. The congestion of highly populated areas stresses me out.
I love nature & love to be outside.
My Dad has an apartment on east 56th & Lexington that we can use anytime for a weekend or whatever. We haven't used it in 7 years.

Re: Do you consider yourself a "City" person or a "country" person?

Definitely not a city person.....
I've never lived in the "country", so I'm not sure how I would like that. I like suburbia, and the less crowded the area, the better. Don't like too many people living right on top of me. I like having lots of trees and open land around. Given the two options, I would go with "country"

In NC? I thought I was in the country when I lived there even within city limits. I was bored to death.

100% city girl! I love that I can walk to do my food shopping and that I don't need to drive everywhere I need to go.

Im right in the middle with this one. I love the hustle & bustle of the city during the day, but when I go home. I want peace & quiet- trees, grass, the sound of kids playing outside. I love suburbia Chat Icon

Getting in my car to get milk doesn't really bother me at all.

Re: Do you consider yourself a "City" person or a "country" person?

I don't think of LI as country but really having the best of both worlds. I can get to the city in an hour and a half and I can get to the beach (FI) in 15 minutes. I love going to the city and I loved living in Hoboken, however I would say I prefer it out here in Suffolk with a little more space, my own backyard and a walk to the water.
