I have one at the base of my neck. I have 2 more that I plan to get in the near future, but I'm still deciding on the placement of them. I've wanted them both for a long time, but I've also wanted to put them in the same spot - which won't work lol

I have 4: a butterfly on my hip, hearts on my ankle that I got with my mom, wedding date on my ring finger that matches DH, and the infant loss awareness ribbon on my wrist with my twin sons' names. I love my tattoos because they all mean something to me.
DH has 3.
We've both said that we would get one more if/when we have a child.

I was never with anyone before, even just dating, who had a tattoo until I met him. To me, it's totally fine for him and I accept him. I like them on him - they are also nice, and tasteful, and meaningful. But, yeah I just always felt like it was more of a "man thing" in my eyes, for some reason. I just can't see it on myself, it's not my thing, but its perfectly fine for him. That being said, he's not getting sleeves ora anything! Too much and I would have to draw the line for sure. But he doesn't want anything more than one more so that's fine.
He has the Marine Corps symbol on one arm, because he was a Marine. He has his two son's names and a symbol for the police department he works for on his other arm. He has the Marine Corps Marathon logo on the back of his calf because he ran his first full marathon in October. And the last one he wants is St. Michael (Saint of Police) and he actually wanted it on his lower arm but he wasn't 100% sure so he asked me and I suggested his rib cage and he liked that idea. So, he'll probably get it there.
ETA -- Sorry, didn't see about the age part.
I'm 31 years old.
My boyfriend is 45.
First one was when he was 18 and joined the Marine Corps. Second was in 2013 and third was just this last November 2014.

I have one on my back that I got when I was around 22. I like it, it's tasteful and meaningful but I kind of regret getting it now. I'm just glad its easily covered up.

I have two and would like more but DH doesn't love them. Maybe someday after kids I'll incorporate them into a new one.
I have a small heart with a peace sign on my L ankle and a Hear below my neck on my back that says "Always in my heart, Forever on my mind" for a friend I lost 9-11 (and my grandpas)
I wish DH would get our wedding date or something on his ring finger since he can't wear his ring at work therefore rarely wears it.

I started at 24 and it's true.. they are very addicting!
I started with a small tribal piece on my ankle and they got bigger from there. 5 of them are 'hidden' if i'm wearing clothing, but 2 of them are pretty obvious (large leg piece, large arm piece)
IMO tattoos are more accepted now than before (try telling my mom that though, ha) but only in certain professions and you have to be prepared for some judgment to still happen, whether its fair or not.
I don't think they are for everyone, and honestly, i'm more than happy for everyone to NOT have them!

My grandma always wanted one, she would joke that she was going to get one at 85, a rose (her name) on her boob (yes, you read that right, she wanted one on her boob). You can bet your a$$ that I'm getting that rose for her soon enough.
And yes, they are crazy addictive. It's been 8 years since I got my last one and I've been itching for a long time. I also want to get one for DS.

not at all, it was the easiest one, it is pretty low though, covered by my underwear

I have two that are covered, lower back and upper thigh. I am getting two more, one with kids names on back of neck (again can be hidden) and a small moon and stars on my foot for my kids.
