Do you let your infant crawl in public places?
I'm not a germaphobe but I hate when DS crawls in public areas. Last weekend, DS was crawling all over Toys R Us. Now that he is mobile, he constantly wants to be on the move.

I would never let DS crawl in a public place like Babies R'Us...that's skeeves me out

no that is why I couldn't wait for him to walk...he wanted to but I wouldn't let him! esp when we waited to be seated in restaurants...he would try but I wouldn't let him!

I almost had no choice. I guess I always have a choice but I was alone and DS was screaming to get out of his stroller and he was screaming to get down when I was holding him in my arms. He was very happy once he was on the floor.

i didn't like it, but there were times when i had to. there was no choice. no big deal really--i just purelled his hands and washed them with soap as soon as i could.

No. There is so way I'm letting him crawl on the floor in a public place. That is just me. I get grossed out by everything!

DS scoots on his butt instead of crawling, the closest I have come to letting him do it in a public place was at the Drs office when I was showing our pediatrician how he gets around. I was even weirded out by that and I'm pretty sure those floors are clean.

I am not a germaphobe by any means, but I would not them crawl in a place like BRU. If they were freaking out in the stroller either I'd let them freak out (in BRU) or leave (in the mall).

BN is the one exception to that though, their kids area ROCKS

My ds was a scooter as well. I tried not to let him do it. We were in a restaurant for a family get together and let him do it because he couldn't sit any longer. Never let him do it in a store. He was always good about staying in the stroller though

yup , sometimes. We went to a first bday party where many of the kids were walking, he was NOT going to just sit around so I let him crawl. he was very happy, and I of course washed hands right after. there are other times I have let him crawl, just can't think of any specifically. I'm not a germophobe unless it comes to my own floors!

ditto on this....this is why I'm sooo frustrated that DD can't walk yet, she loves to explore, but can't walk yet and I won't let her crawl in public places!!!
