Re: Do you let your toddler
OMG - NO!!!!!
if i left my toddler alone he would wreak absolute havoc ALL over my house!!! and more importantly, i'd be SO nervous about his safety because he's just all over the place...

Re: Do you let your toddler
I usually shower during her nap or before she gets up.
It she's awake I let her play in the bathroom while I take a shower.

Re: Do you let your toddler
No way...during the week I take a shower in the morning before he wakes up and on the weekends DH is home. I wouldn't trust him one bit, and to be honest, I think he would freak out if he knew I was in the shower and didn't let him in with me

Re: Do you let your toddler
I will usually put on a show for her in the LR, but she generally winds up in the bathroom anyway.

Re: Do you let your toddler
Yep.
I put a show on for her and she's totally fine. She sometimes comes in the bathroom or plays with her toys instead of watching TV, but she is totally okay by herself.
I only do this once in a while since I shower before she gets up on weekdays and DH is almost always around on weekends, but I would do it on a daily basis if I had to!

Re: Do you let your toddler
Yes, she's 29 months & I've always let her loose. Our house isn't really babyproofed either except for outlet covers. I feel they need to learn what they can/can't touch...our parents never babyproofed our houses. She usually prefers to stay in the bathroom & sing to mommy or give her ducks baths in the sink anyway.

Re: Do you let your toddler
No, he moves chairs to get things he wants and would do that. I shower at night or make him stay in the bathroom w? me on the rare occasion I shower during the day. But also I have Newborns and cant leave him alone w/ them...If they cry he will try to climb in the crib to soothe them.

I think she'd be OK if I put on an episode of Diego but I still have never done it and don't think I can yet.

Absolutely not. He would destroy the house and it is WAY not childproofed enough that I would be comfortable leaving him alone for more than 2 minutes.
Ditto!!

Re: Do you let your toddler
Yep. I rarely get up before her and she hasn't napped in a year and a half (she is 3 1/2). And when she did nap I had work to do. I used to bring her in the bathroom but then she learned how to open the door. So now I just leave the door open.

I strap him in the highchair and leave the bathroom door open. I peek out and he is more concerned with the moose than anything.

Yes, I do. But she's a mellow girl who I know is generally not climbing/jumping while I'm in there.
Can you close him in a particular room while you're showering? A safe room, obviously?
same here-plus my house is so tiny that it's like showering with her in the same room. the door is open just in case-she usually just watches Dora while i am. she is really good.

Re: Do you let your toddler
No, I let her play in our bedroom while I shower in the master bathroom and I close the bedroom door so she cant get out. She is just into everything nowadays and climbs on everything.

Re: Do you let your toddler
everything in the living room and kitchen is baby proofed and i close all the doors to keep her out of everything else, so I can shower. I just take a quick shower.
I have had to jump out to check on her if it was too quiet.

Re: Do you let your toddler
Yes we do. We bring him into our bedroom (shut the door obviously) and he plays in our room with some toys we have in a bin up there, while we shower.

yes I do, she is old enough to sit and watch TV while I quickly shower, if she needs me, she will come into the bathroom (I leave the door open when I shower)
NORMALLY, I shower when dh is home but I have showered and left her in the LR
Same here with my girls.

No. I either wait until she is asleep or while she takes a bath I take a shower (it is a separate stall)

Re: Do you let your toddler
I have, but for the most part he just comes in the shower with me. He's a big fan of taking showers, so usually he'd rather come in with me then stay and play with toys. But I do leave him inside while I walk my dog in the front yard.

Re: Do you let your toddler
Sometimes I can if I barricade him in the LR with his favorite show otherwise no. Which mean the quickest shower ever and open bathroom door to hear him.
Or I put him in his crib. And I have a crib tent for months now. If I did not have the tent, I would have to have a toddler/twin bed. I can't trust him not to climb out.
