i have white thingys (sorry, the technical term has escaped me at the moment) with a semi gloss paint. i take disinfectant wipes and wipe all the goop and fingerprints that my DDs make on them. works like a charm, no scrubbing even.

ballisters. 
Good to know they wipe easily...I think I am leaning towards the white ballisters...although I still love the wrought iron.

The white ballisters with wood is by far my favorite! This would be the only option for me! Love it!!
