Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
When he was a newborn, I did and I would check on him frequently.
But at 2.5 if it's a non-work day, I pour another cup of coffee and enjoy!

Yes, I would totally freak out. But only because that would mean I am late for work. He is my little alarm clock at 5:30am even on the weekends.

Yes! I will look at the video monitor every few minutes to make sure he's breathing or go up to him and put my hand on his chest. He's only 4 months so hopefully as he gets older, I'll worry less and just be glad for a little extra sleep.

Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
It happens more often with naps, but I do get a little worried...I stare at the monitor once a nap goes past 2hrs
I guess sometimes she just needs a super long nap. Yesterday she napped from 12:30 to 3:30 (And that was her 2nd nap of the day!)

Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
I imagine i would get freaked out but i unfortunately have not experienced it. The closest I've come was this saturday moring when i woke up at 7AM and realized it was 7. Forbid DH to move, made him stay ON the bed as I stared at the video monitor in disbelief. DS slept until 7:15AM. I wasn't worried though, just shocked that I actually got a really good night's sleep

Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
For my older one, Benjamin, no because he wakes up anywhere from 6:30AM to 9AM. Ethan, on the other hand, is always up between 6 and 6:30AM so on the days where he sleeps later, I have been known to wake up in a small panic.

Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
I do! DS napped for almost 3 hours yesterday & since he usually naps 1-2 hours I was starting to freak out - even with the Angel Care monitor! I kept creeping into his room to listen to his breathing

Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
Yep...and my kids are light sleepers in the morning so I always end up waking them up by accident. Also since I have twins-call me cruel-but I want them awake at the same time and asleep at the same time

Re: Does anyone else get freaked out when their kids sleep late?
YES!!
I just posted this on FB over the weekend. DD slept until 8:15 on Saturday - the latest she's ever slept in her 2.5 years of life!
The first time she slept late she woke up with a fever so now I can't relax and enjoy it without worrying.
