Does anyone have short cycles? Need help
If my Follicular stage is short can I be releasing an immature egg? Can an immature egg be fertilized? Also if AF is ending say on day 7-8 and CM is starting right up, I feel I am ready to O around day 9-10...how is my lining ready for a baby?
Ok I discussed this with my OB back in July and he wasn't concerned...he said if my luteal phase was short then that's a concern but I just want to make sure I am not missing something here. Before DD I had a 28 day cycle with o on CD 14. I bled a lot with AF and spotted for days and days once the heavy flow ended.
After I stopped BFing DD - 3 months later my cycle changed. No more heavy AF. No more days and days of spotting. Just period and it ends and I seem to O right away, like I said day 10ish. We DTD on day 10 and 14. And have gotten pregnant 3x but lost them. My luteal phase seems ok - 14 days. Overall my cycles are 23-28 days - I'd say avg is 26 days In the last 5 months I've had 1 confirmed ectopic, 1 chemical and another "suspected" ectopic. I also I only have 1 tube which was a good healthy tube until my ectopic last summer. He sliced the tube to remove the pregnancy tissue so there maybe some scarring in there but hsg showed it open. Anyway I've read some literature about short luteal phase or low progesterone causing ectopics but that's it. Not much out there on short follicular phases or immature eggs being released.
Haven't been back to the RE yet. Was really trying to give this more time. Should I have my cycle tested and just get another set of eyes on this? Again I was really trying to take It easy this time and not stress but I don't want to waste time and keep having losses. Any info or advice would be helpful.

Re: Does anyone have short cycles? Need help
About 3/4 years ago I had something similar. I would get my period every 28 days and the first 5 days of my cycle heavy flow then light spotting for 2 then gone. During a couple of my FET cycles I ovulated around day 10 and my transfers would be day13/14. None of those stuck and my doctor didn't seem concerned. Once I had my 6 month break of treatments my body "regulated" and I Oed on day 14. Since having DD my periods would range from 22-28 days. My RE said it's still within normal range but we also noticed that my thyroid was slightly elevated during those short cycles and my body was producing a hormone that you produce after delivery when your milk is coming in but this was a year after delivery. It eventually regulated and for my last FET cycle those levels were all normal and my cycle resulted in a BFP. If it didn't regulate on its own they were going to put me on meds to help.
If I were you I would ask for a panel of blood work to test your thyroid and pituitary glands if it's elevated it Could cause implantation failure(chemicals).

Your dr is right. Short folliclular phases don't really matter. Even if the egg got fertilized on day 10, there's still 6 more days before it will reach your uterus to implant, giving plenty of time for the lining to build up.
ETA: If you've had 3 losses, I'd speak to an RE. You don't seem to have an issue getting pregnant, but they can help you to stay pregnant.

A call to your RE won't hurt. I would call.

Thx this is helpful info. I am going to request that and ask him if I need to go back to the RE.
If all 3 losses were bc of this tube then that's the prob. One was def tubal I had surgery. But I suspect the other 2 could have been chemicals that were in the uterus but it was too early to know. He ruled one as ectopic due to my funky beta numbers. He may have been wrong though.
