Does this price sound ok for a fence?
We have a huge back yard and just had tons of half dead trees removed in the fall. Basically it's the whole back side (225ft) that's bare now with just a chain link fence. There were weeds, vines, diseased trees, poison ivy, and I was sick of looking at it and trying to fight it. But now there's no privacy and we border 2 neighbors. We just got an estimate for the cheapest stockade for that whole back side, plus replacing the 4ft picket (and 2 gates) that we have in the front.
$3400? Does that sound right? I have no clue what it should cost. I'd rather spend that money on 6 ft trees for that area for the privacy and leave the chain link. I'll post pictures tomorrow and see what advice I could get.
We have a long list of things we wanted to get done on the house and spending that much on a fence that I'm not even too keen on getting to begin with isn't making me a happy camper right now.
