Does your child sleep with a nightlight?

And if they do, do you keep it on all night?

I have one in Ryan's room so I can get to him at night without turning on the big light - not b/c a 4-month old needs one.

Yes, and yes. It is the kind that is automatic and turns itself on when the light level is low enough. I have them all over my house (it gets really dark in the hallways Chat Icon )

Re: Does your child sleep with a nightlight?

Yes - it's more for me than for her. She does like to point at it while she's awake, but I like to be able to see where I'm going in her room if I have to check on her.

Neither one ever did until we recently went away. Andy was staying in our room and we left a nightlight on so that we wouldn't trip on anything since it was an unfamiliar room and now he freaks out if he wakes up and the room is dark. I'm so annoyed with myself for leaving the stupid light on. They both used to be able to sleep no matter what - dark, light, noisy, quiet.

Re: Does your child sleep with a nightlight?

Yes and now that he's toddler he does not like a dark room so it's a must have for bed time.

No, but he was into his Twilight Turtle for a while that would shine stars on the ceiling. It turns off by itself after a while. We haven't used it for a while because it's still light out when he goes to bed so you can't see the stars.

Exactly - i don't want to turn on lights when i check on him and if i need to go in there, i don't want to break my neck falling on something. I leave it on all night.

Re: Does your child sleep with a nightlight?

DD's lamp has a nightlight feature...so I leave that on all night - for her and for me, so I don't trip and fall checking on her.
