Yes we make a full day out of the sprinkler area at Eden. DD LOVES it.

We only do 2 nights so we just go to DW one day- and yes you can spend a full day there. They have a water area too so we do dry rides in the morning, then lunch, then the water park- and a day at the hotel water area. That's the day we arrive usually. Get there, check in and relax at the hotel pool/water area. They will deliver food and drinks to you poolside.

As in "adult drinks" served to you at the pool? I've been looking at their site and see nothing about this food/drink service.... tell me more... are the prices reasonable?

Oh heck yes! Its delivery of the onsite restaurant. They have menus by the pool. You can get booze as well as burgers, salads, sandwiches, kids meals. The whole menu of the restaurant.
Prices are reasonable.

You should work for their marketing department, I'm pretty sure I'm booking a 3 night stay there in June based on this post. Thanks! Chat Icon

I would def hit up an "amish" restaurant for sure!
it's down home cooking.. fried chicken.. buttered noodles.. all great comfort food.
We've have been to Good and plenty, plain and fancy, and bird in hand. My fav was Plain and Fancy!
I think if you go to any of these restaurants on your bday, you get your meal free if you show ID.

other than kitchen village- which is just a bunch of shops, I would do a hotel day for sure. it was nice to laze by the pool and eat & drink.

We are going Wed-Sat. I would think everything will be less crowded during the week.

Re: Dutch Wonderland / Lancaster Area

This year will be our 5th year staying at Eden. We love it there.

If you go in June, there is the Thomas the Train show in Lancaster. It's only for a week, so it depends if you are going during that time.

We haven't been able to spend a full day at Dutch yet. We always go in June during the week, and the lines aren't long at all. We can get in and out of the park in half a day, especially when we do the preview-day the night before.

Last year we split our trip -half at Eden, half at Hershey. This year, while we will still go to Hershey, we are staying at Eden the whole time. My DH said he'd rather drive to Hershey, about 40 min away, and come back to Eden at night. He's the one packing and unpacking the car, and staying in one place suits us just fine, especially when it's at Eden.

One year we did the Amish buggy ride. One year we did the Thomas the Train thing. Each year we stop by Kitchen Kettle Village, but I can't spend more than an hour or two there. I don't like shopping, so it's not really my thing. There's a model train museum that my son likes. It's cash only though. We forget every time!

The Iron Hill brewery is not too far away. They have good food. And if you like good breweries, check out Lancaster Brewing. We don't eat there, but we sure will be buying beer and bringing it home (they don't sell it in NY).

ETA: I've recommended this place to so many people. Friends and family. They all love it. I seriously think that half of the guests at Eden are from Long Island.

Re: Dutch Wonderland / Lancaster Area

I'll be going for Thomas in June as well, third trip to Eden and we LOVE it!!! I find booking the villas is totally worth the little extra each night. It's great for my kids to have their own room and we love the fireplace since we don't have one in our house.

DW is fantastic!!! We did one day two years ago but this year we might do the preview as well.

We did a day trip to Hershey. My son was 2.5 when we went so we didn't go to the park. I thought he was too young to warrant the admission price. We did do Chocolate World which was fun and the outlets nearby. We had dinner at the Hershey Hotel out on the veranda and it was amazing. This was our "nice" meal of the trip and it was great.

There are tons of outlets in Lancaster we always hit. Our fav has Janie and Jack. Great discounts.

We did Kettle Kitchen two years ago but it was brutally hot. It was cute but we didn't stay long.

Miller's is nice for dinner.

You'll have a great trip!

Yes! We should! I plan on going on the last day. The tickets have not gone on sale yet right? The site was acting funny for me before when I tried to buy tickets.
