on demand till 14 mos. When I was finally able to night wean him.
I felt so silly telling ped he still was nursing 10-12 times a day.

I've always fed on demand. As a newborn, DS ate every 2.5-3 hours unless he was going through a growth spurt. As he got older, he typically ate every 3-4 hours.

I am feeding on demand b.c for a little while DD's reflux was so bad that she wasn't gaining as quickly as they would like. She is gaining better now but still on the slow side weight wise (she is gaining quickly length wise) so they are having me continue to feed on demand.
