Fav things to do in the winter..
I am not a winter person AT ALL but I love being in the city around the holidays looking at all the decorations, going by the tree. There's just something about being in Manhattan around the holidays!

Hide in my house under a blanket and wait for spring!
I am NOT cut out for winter at all. I remember one time during a particular bad, cold winter, I got in my car one morning and it was so cold that it actually HURT. I just lost it and started crying. Actually crying.
Yeah, I can't deal with winter.

I love winter. I love cold weather and snow. It's my favorite time of the year. I love playing in the snow with my kids. I love baking and decorating for the holidays. The only thing I hate about winter is the sun setting early.

Stay inside with a hot cup of coffee spiked with Bailey's. I like watching the snow fall through the window while under a blanket. I am not a fan of the cold!!!

Fav things to do in the winter..
i always joke around that "my people" were not meant for harsh winters (i'm cuban/dominican).
if it were up to me, i would spend 90% of the winter in front of the fireplace with a roaring fire and knitting/reading/watching good movies.
i do enjoy seeing nyc during the holidays. it really is pretty.
i also enjoy looking out a window during a snow storm.
that's about it lol

I HATE the winter but like the OP I just LOVE the city during the holidays! I love the reminiscent feeling I get of when I was younger when I see all the lights, the shopping bags of gifts, the tree!
I love grabbing a holdiay coffee and walking around and seeing the decorations, the people, the tourist.
I love Christmas music
I love watching christmas movies under a blanket with the tree lights on.
I love how Sunday dinners at my moms reslut in some sort of holiday baking or cooking.
I love watching 'Love Actually' while I wrap my Christmas gifts each year!
I walked by Bryant Park the other day and was so excited to see their Winter village was set up!!!
Once the holidays are gone I 1000% despise the friggin winter I am miserable until Spring hits!!! I also hate the city - lol I commute in 5 days a week and hate it! But can tolerate it during the holidays

ha ha. Agree with this completely. I despise winter. The only thing I enjoy is the holidays and the holiday baking. I do love seeing the tree in Rockefeller center as well. We do it every year!!

I love everything about the fall/winter - I am a cold weather person. I love the cold crisp air, it's an instant energy boost for me - even the dark doesn't bother me so much -
Unless I'm relaxing on a beach or at the pool, I LOATHE the hot weather.
I don't even mind commuting through the city in the nasty dirty snow/slush mess now that I have invested in Hunter boots -

it's funny bc the Middle School by my house has this slope and all the parents take their kids there..it's soo much fun!

I love winter up until January 2. After that I'm done. It just seems so endless with nothing to look forward to, there’s nothing fun in January February or March really. I pray for snow because I love snow, but it's usually just cold rain so it's just a huge disappointment 9 times out of 10, I get excited there’s a storm coming but it’s usually not even snow.
So looking on the bright side, what I like to do is stay in and watch movies, cook & bake more, use the fireplace, we play games, board games, video games, doesn't matter, read together, take the dogs for walks, go to the gym more, just anything that when it's really nice out I don't do because i feel like I should be outside.

I LOVE spending time in Manhattan in the winter!
I was just talking about this the other day with my bf! Out of all the trips we took this year( Utah,LA,New Orleans, Mexico, Turkey, Greece, Florida, Nova Scotia) my favorite day was spent in Manhattan on New Years Eve-Day. We went out for an early lunch with a nice group of people,then he and I walked around to a few shops, randomly went in for oysters at Epicerie Bouloud , then saw a movie around Lincoln Center ( we were the youngest people in the theater by about 40 yrs ) and slowly made our way home just in time to ring in the new year in my house. We literally fell asleep at 12:01
I just love doing random activities and in nyc, theres always something to do on every block.
I HATE the cold but nothing feels better than going into a unique shop for a drink or a few bites.Its a bonus when the waiter/bartender is chatty. Some people bar hop, I restaurant hop

On the not-so-cold days, I do like to go out and take walks in the park.
But once it's really cold...I just like to stay in. I hibernate in the winter...my friends always say that I don't do shit in the winter and they're right!
We stay in and watch movies...get caught up on any inside home improvements we've had on our list...play music...read...cook...
I am the most un-exciting person in the winter. Home from work on a Friday night and nowhere to go til Monday morning? PERFECT.
