Flying with Toddler - Ear pain?
Those of you who have flown with toddlers.... how have they handled the altitude changes during take off and landing? Did they experience pain?
Any tips or tricks?
Thanks!

Re: Flying with Toddler - Ear pain?
I haven't flown with a toddler yet but I have flown with my infant 5 times already and he's never shown any signs of pain. I have always made sure he was sucking (either a bottle or binky) for take off and landing.
Have a good flight

Re: Flying with Toddler - Ear pain?
When i was a kid i had terrible terrible ear pain everytime i went in a plane. So i was scared brininging my two on a plane last year till another mom suggested EarPlanes. You can get them online, the drug store, just about anywhere. They look like tiny plastic corkscrews. You put them in your ear an hour before you land and your pain free. I wear them and my two dc wear them everytime i fly.

i have seen ppl give the DC dumdum lollipops when they were too old for binkies and too young for gum it helps them to swallow and gets the pressure out of thier ears

Re: Flying with Toddler - Ear pain?
We had no problems whatsoever.
Christopher does still use a pacifier, but he actually didn't want ti at all. He fell asleep on the way home.
Is this for Disney, Christine? Did you decide to fly?

I would be a little weary of this for a toddler it may give them "permission" to stick other things in thier ears...

YES!!! We are ALL flying, including DH!!
He's convinced we are all going to die and he had to get med from dr. to take on the plane. Now I'm a wreck worrying about getting three kids and a drugged husband through JFK!
Wish us luck!!

Ask for a wheelchair for DH
And just tell him that if you all die, at least you will die together
(I have a sick sense of humor)
