For toddler moms that have dairy allergies...kiddie party question
DD went to a party this past Saturday for one of the girls in her class. I asked the mom what she was serving and it was pizza, I figured as much and not a big deal. I bring P&J for her in a ziplock and give to one of the workers and tell her to serve DD when it's time to eat. She come back to me and tells me that there is another child there that has dairy and peanut allergies. So she asked the mom how severe and it was fine because they sat at different tables and my DD is shy so she doesn't really interact with anyone so it worked out.
Now, onto my question, what do you bring? It never occurred to me about the peanut allergy and I felt bad. DD isn't into cold cuts so sandwiches are out. I have another party on Saturday and I have brought P&J to there parties in the past and it wasn't and issue.
My issue is mainly when it is outside the house, when it is at a home I am ok.

You could do soy butter-it tastes pretty similar.

Oooh or how about soy cream cheese and jelly? I usually buy Vegan Gourmet but they also have tofutti. You could do chicken or tuna salad with veganaise...

Could you get her a dairy free pizza (with soy cheese or other dairy free cheese)? We have friends who's son has celiac. She always finds out what the party will be serving and brings her own food (like what they are serving) so her DS doesn't feel left out of what the party goers are enjoying. Also, she brings her own cupcake for him

She doesn't like the vegan pizza.
I am going to look into veganaise. Since she is allergic to eggs also, I haven't given her anything with mayo.
Some of these party places do not have microwaves so it makes it difficult at times otherwise I would bring chicken nuggets.
I am going to see what else I can find.
Thanks for the suggestions
