freaking out.. pesticide related...
They sent a memo to the houses in my area that they would be spraying pesticides today and to keep kids/pets off grass and windows/doors closed. I usually work m-f so I didn't think anything of it since the windows and doors are closed when I'm not home anyway..
Well today I stayed home sick because I was dizzy with a massive headache.. I totally forgot about that pesticide thing and laid around with the sliding door in my bedroom open for a few hours!! I finally remembered when I went outside to get a bagel and saw all the signs on the lawn
I'm just really paranoid now since I'm in the first trimester and afraid that I breathed in all those chemicals! What do you ladies think?

Re: freaking out.. pesticide related...
I think you should be fine, since they sprayed outside! I would just close your windows and maybe get out of the house few a few hrs.
I live in an apt building in nyc, and our neighbor had their whole apartment sprayed with pesticides. Since we live right next door and I am pregnant that had us leave for 24hrs. However, this is an apartment building and we are right next door.
Since this is the yard, you def should be ok and the LO is safe.

Ugh I called in sick at work so I could relax and rest off this headache and now I'm sitting here upset ... Since my headache seems to be gone though I may do what you said and get out for a few hours. BLah.

Re: freaking out.. pesticide related...
It's prob unrelated. Our lawn was sprayed a few weeks ago and to be honest, I didn't even think about it. I just stayed off it.
If it makes you feel better, I stayed home with a massive headache today, too. It came on at 4 am. I've had a few like this since being pregnant. I think the muggy weather might be contributing, too.

Yea I def think the weather has something to do with our headaches... What annoys me is I hardly ever open up that door! I only decided to because I thought fresh air might help
I mean.. I keep telling myself that 1- it's a sliding door that's UPSTAIRS so it's not right on top of the lawn .. and 2- it's not like I went out and laid in the grass sniffing in the fumes

Re: freaking out.. pesticide related...
I had a major freak out the other day when I was petting my dog after DH put frontline on her and forgot to tell me... there's nothing you can do about now so just try not to think about it! You prob come in contact with it constantly and just aren't aware.
