Funny Things kids say
Let's post some of the funny/cute thigs our kids/nieces/nephews/friends kids etc say or even words they mispronounce.
DD is always saying really funny stuff I post on FB for friends and family. Thought this would be fun to do.
Here's one:
DD is laying on the couch last night before bed. I ask her if she is ok or feels sick. In her most dramatic voice she turns to me and says "They got me mom, the tiny ugly germs, they got me and they made me sick."

Re: Funny Things kids say
My DD turned 5 on 2/28, she is famous for saying the craziest stuff. Here are 2 recent ones:
1) Police officer came to her class for career week. In the course of talking about how police officers are nice, he asked, "But who do police officers NOT like? Who do we want to put in jail?" Expecting to get the answers, bad guys, criminals, etc. My DD shoots her hand up in the air and shouts, "THE NAZIS!!!" I had to explain to the teacher how we're not white supremacists, she just really likes the Sound of Music
2) Right before her birthday, we were in Target and she saw all the brightly colored training bras in the girls dept. She said she wanted one. I said, No, it's not time for that yet. That night, when DH asked her what she wanted for her bday, she answered, "I want to grow a chest so I can fit in one of those cool bras!" He almost passed out.

Re: Funny Things kids say
Here are a few more from my kid:
Kayla wakes up hysterical in the middle of the night. Mumbles something to me about Cookie monster being in her room. I feed him a million fake cookies and he goes away, she goes back to sleep. Fast forward to the morning "Mommy I had a BAD dream. Daddy was pretending to be Cookie Monster and ate up ALL my cookies."
I'm cooking dinner one night when I hear Kayla say "I love playing in the puddles mommy" What puddles? "The ones in the hallway mommy" I walk in to a naked Kayla sliding on a puddle in the hall. I ask her where the puddles came from. "I wated to play in puddles so I peed on the floor".....

Re: Funny Things kids say
DD1 (she's 5) definitely comes up with some good ones.... This is the one I posted on FB just last week...
"Hey mommy, how come NONE(emphasis on the word) of the other moms are short like you? You know you are really short, right? Daddy says you grow when you sleep. You should have taken more naps. All the other moms must have gotten alot of sleep."

Re: Funny Things kids say
This happened awhile ago but still makes me laugh.
I babysit a little boy a few days a week.
We have 2 dogs...1 named Pepper the other Tallulah.
My DH was cooking one morning and using salt & pepper. He tells me you need to put pepper in the shaker. And the little boy turns to me a said " if you put pepper in the shaker what will you put Talllulah in".

I thought what DS said last night was very funny...then I read about puddles and I'm not so sure...
DS looked at my sisters wedding picture and said, "That's when Aunt ABC was a princess, right mommy?"

Re: Funny Things kids say
My SIL just had another baby. The first born is almost three. When he met his baby brother in the hospital, the baby was all wrapped up and swaddled and my nephew asked: "Mommy, the baby can't walk b/c he doesnt have any feet?"
They had to unswaddle him and show him his feet and explain how babies can't walk yet.
My nephew also wanted to know why the baby didn't say cheese when they took his picture.

Re: Funny Things kids say
I was really excited when my nephew went to the bathroom by himself.
He said, "Relax, Aunt Heather, it's just poop."
Another time he screeched to halt on his Power Wheels and said, "I need a tube sock and a bunch of sandwiches."

Re: Funny Things kids say
These are great!!!!
One time we were driving in the car with my SD (she was probably 6 or 7 at the time) and a commercial came on the radio for some center that treats erectile dysfunction. She immediately says "a reptile dysfunction? what's a reptile dysfunction?"
I also love when she's sitting in the backseat of the car singing her little heart out but she doesn't have the words quite right.

Re: Funny Things kids say
My 3.5 year old stepbrother (yup) has some gems.
The most recent hilarious story was my dad came home (to their house) the other day, and Asher was sitting in the living room watching a dvd. He glanced at my dad, looked back at the tv, pointed his thumb to the stairs and said "she's up there" (referring to his mom). All nonchalant and such.
Another great one is last time DH and I were visiting Toronto we were playing with Ash in the yard and he was in his little flintstones car. He "drove" it into a ledge and yelled "FUCKKKKK". For a second I was SHOCKED and then we burst out laughing, and he had this sh!t-eating grin on his face. I told my stepmom that he gets it from my dad, who curses A LOT.
I know there are others but I can't think of more right now.

Re: Funny Things kids say
On Saturday night I made stuffed shells and cheesy garlic bread. DH and I brought it over to my sisters for dinner. We're half way through and my niece goes "this is the best dinner I ever ate." Can you tell my sister isn't the greatest of cooks?
