do you guys realize how FEW perks we get.

I don't get paid from your tax dollars.
I think that is a disgusting double standard anyway. MOST people on the boards work and I guess are abusing internet privileges in one way or another.
this is a really mean spirited way to look at it.
trust me..the money is not wasted. the same work will be there for us on Monday...

Wow. Just wow.
You have NO clue how hard the employees in my office work, and how much we sacrifice for our job. We do have the blessing of job security, but I also assure you we don't get nearly the same perks and benefits as private employees.

Wow, this post quickly went from a happy celebration to getting ugly.
Are there better things to do with the money sure, but do these VERY HARD WORKING people deserve that day, yes as does everybody else. Really, it's a Friday and the day after a two day break. There is no reason to make them run back to the office.
Oh and until you sign their paychecks, don't be so concerned with when they sign on. Plenty of people do this during their lunch or other breaks during the day.
