Getting annoyed !! Need to vent !!!
so for a WEEK now DH and I have been waiting to hear back from Bethpage Credit Union about when our closing is going to be. I have tried emailing our contact person there, and all she keeps responding is "You will be contacted with closing instructions once your file is cleared to close by underwriting. Your file is in underwriting for final review"
I was told last Tuesday we would hear something by Friday afternoon - LAST FRIDAY !! I know it's only Tuesday, but there is NO indication that they are even close ! I just want to close already !!!
Sorry to vent - I'm 31 weeks pregnant and very tired today.....

its totally normal you won't know until the night before that they want to close the next am or they are ready to close. its very fustrating but that's the process. Good news is your almost there!

I would call and not email. My sister just went through the same thing. She kept calling and finally got them to close!

If this has been getting drawn out, i would find out who the UW is and speak to them directly... i did this for my loan... i got much bettyer direction from the UW than anyone else who was handling my loan!

This is normal.....I know it stinks but you will not get much notice and the person at the bank really doesn't know....the underwriter will give the clear and then the 3 Atty need to schedule it.

Thanks everyone.....
I have tried calling - only to be leaving message after message with no one calling me back. My lawyer has been calling and emailing too.
The sellers realtor is calling mine 3/4/5 times a day to ask if there are any updates or if DH and I have tried to contact Bethpage at all and if we knew what was going on. My poor agent is ready to scream !! Their agent is saying that if "answers aren't given soon and we don't go to closing within the next week then they are going to have to cancel the contract"  Thank goodness my realtor says that it shouldn't come to that, and in our contract it says that after 30 days from the on/about date (which was 9/15) only THEN can they make that threat. So we still have a little time before we have to worry about that.
If they were to call me right now and say to get the $$ together and be there at 10am DH and I would !!

hmmmm.... very interesting. we're going through the exact same thing, with the exact same bank... i wonder if we have the same loan officer!!! at least you're getting responses though, because i'm not! my atty finally got a response today with the bank atty's info. but we still aren't "cleared" to close and the seller is anxious...

That stinks!! I'm trying to refinance with Bethpage and so far, nothing but headaches People on the phone waste my time for 45 minutes trying to figure out paperwork when they should KNOW the forms i'm referring to...only to find out that after all of that wasted time, I really have to speak with someone else!  I leave a message...no call back. This has happened 3 times already. 
Sorry to vent on your post but just trying to make a point that maybe they just stink.
