Re: grandma babysitting
Posted by Vecker12
I told my mother not to give DS diet soda because she was drinking some and DS wanted what was in her cup. I said, Mom, no. I turn around to get something in the kitchen and come back and DS is wiping his lips... my mother laughs
My mom does stuff like that too. I get mad at her, but I still have her babysitting my kids regularly.

grandma babysitting
We live OOS do when a grandparent babysits to give us a night out, I usually just let things slide if things don't go exactly as I wrote out on paper. However MIL has been making me upset when she babysits. When DS was a newborn we came back and he was screaming and she couldn't figure out how to calm him. This past black Friday (DS then 15 months) was so tired he was falling asleep standing next to the living room chair with his head resting on it. Where was MIL? In the kitchen on the phone exactly how she was before I ran to the store. Poor baby needed a nap so bad and grandma's phone call was more important. She has not babysat since. I am losing my trust with her.
