Has anyone ever increased the mileage for a leased car??
I have 3 year/36,000 miles. This was all fine and good when I was living closer to NYC (where I work) but we bought a house and moved further out. I don't even have the car a year and I am at 11,600 already You think I can ask for more mileage after the fact (if this was possible I know it would increase my payments)
TIA

They can do leases for up to 15K miles a year, but I am not sure you can go back and change it while in the middle of your lease. I have a 39 month/30K mile lease and I pay a lot less for the lower miles (I don't drive a lot because I am a SAHM). I'll ask DH for you.

I don't believe you can add on mileage after the fact. At least I was never able to when I leased.
The only thing you can possibly do is turn in your current vehicle and get another one with different milage terms.

I have 15k milies a year and I can call up - up to 6 months before my car goes back and buy more miles for a cheaper price then when I turn it in
I am buying at least 10K more
I am almost at my limit with a little over a year to go- partly b/c of Jake's neck and him driving my car b/c it's a smoother ride

Our lease is for 22K a year.

You can buy miles for a cheaper price than if you were to pay for them when turning in your lease. I've also heard of dealerships forgiving the extra mileage if you go into another vehicle that's more $$$. Not sure if that is an option for you, but thought I'd throw it out there.
