has anyone experienced a racing heart while pregnant? it put me in the hospital
last week i was in the hospital overnight because i woke up with my heart beating out of my chest.. when i got to the ER it was over 170  i was scared out of my mind..
turned out i was having contractions too.. it was awful.
they did all types of tests and all came back normal.. it was just so wierd that this happened to me..
and to boot, since i came home i got so sick and i can't shake it.. i haven't been on LIF for over a week.. i missed it!

my heart has raced but i dont think it was ever that high.. glad you are ok!

OMG, I am so sorry you had to go through that!
I have had a racing heart but nothing that severe 
I am glad everything is ok and hope your feeling better

that is so scary! Ive had heart palputations but the doctor told me to try to sleep on my side instead of back/stomach?
That must have freaked you out. Did u have a bad dream???

I've had this, but like others said its never seems bad enough or lasts long enough.
My doctor said its a combination of hormones and anxiety.

I've had my heart race..but not to the point of me going to the hospital and it usually passed really fast.
I'm soo sorry this happened and now you're sick

Did they ever figure out what it was? has it happened since?
no, they never figured out why that happened.. all the tests, catscans came back normal.
i am just scared it will happen again.

my heart raced like that. I don't think it was that high though. Felt like I was having palpatations. It went away.

Well I'm glad everything came back normal. this started happening to me last may (not prego) and after lots of tests it was decided that it was just a panic attack. Had them at night while sleeping too Glad it hasn't happened since and hope you feel better!

Glad to see u back on.......I'm glad u r feeling better too.
Sunday morning at 3am I woke up w/ a similar problem. DH and I got dressed and were about to go to the hospital when it suddenly stopped. VERY scary!!!
At least all of your tests came back normal. R U still having contractions?

I've had a racing heart before but never really bad. I notice it happens to me a lot when I am struggling to get off the bed at night and walk to the bathroom. By the time I get back into bed my heart is racing.
We missed you on LIF. Welcome back and I am glad you are feeling better.
