Heidi & Spencer Plan Trip to Iraq
Heidi Montag says her late stepbrother — who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan — has inspired her to visit the Middle East to perform for U.S. troops.
“My brother was an airborne ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq,” the Hills star tells Extra in a new interview. “It’s very important to me and important to Spencer to support the troops and go over there.”
Montag’s stepbrother, Eric O’Hara, 24, who was a veteran of combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, died in an accident in March at the Steamboat Springs, Colo., hotel where he worked.
While Montag and Pratt are eagerly planning their trip — they may be getting a little help with travel arrangements from friend Meghan McCain, the daughter of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain.
“She’s very sweet,” Pratt told Extra. “I think Meghan McCain is helping organize Heidi and our Iraq trip. Her dad definitely has some pull with the military. I think she’s going to put that together for us.”
Also on the horizon for the couple: a new video game, which Pratt says will be sold at Kitson. “It’s top secret,” he says. “Get ready. All your wildest dreams are going to be in it.” – Brian Orloff

Good for her. Super lame for him..
Young male who pretty much doesn't work is going to entertain young male troops who probably all would love to punch him in the face.
I wouldn't mind watching the Hills during a deployment and seeing my husband:)
My guess is my husband and his crew would much rather see a pretty girl and get a good laugh rather then have lunch with drew carey like they have in the past.

While I can't stand them, I at least appreciate the concept and I do feel bad that her family lost her stepbrother. I wish more celebrities were making the trip.
