Re: Help.... I'm going to have a nervous breakdown (LONG)...
I was also going to recommend the angel monitor to help calm your fears about SIDS or death while sleeping.
I was also going to suggest the propping, sleep positioners, etc.
You are doing everything you can to help her (and yourself). Tomorrow you will get answers that will eventually lead to her health and happiness and your sanity. It may be a scary road, but I believe this is light at the end of the tunnel.
In the meantime, ask for help. Even if it;s someone coming over and keeping you company as you try to soothe her. Don't take this daunting experience on by yourself.

Re: Help.... I'm going to have a nervous breakdown (LONG)...
I am so sorry you are going through this. Your story made me cry Motion sensor detector is a great idea as "kristinas mama" suggested. Also try boppy pillow with straps, that's what we had for DD and it's great. It holds the baby up so you don't have to worry about them sliding down or suffocating or anything. I don't really have any other advice just and hope that things get better soon.

Re: Help.... I'm going to have a nervous breakdown (LONG)...
please don't be terrified to go to yale... the Dr's there are super-experienced... if anyone can figure out what is wrong, they can. Once you know what the problem is, it can be treated... so go into the situation with hope, not fear....
As for your birth experience, your birth was almost identical to mine... except I was in the hospital from the start. Prolonged labor, insufficient dilation, no epi until very late into labor, myconium.... in the end, he was born healthy... the difference was no vomitting... so don't torture yourself thinking that something about the labor caused the vomitting. It likely is somethine developmental... severe reflux, an obstruction in the GI tract.... it could be anything....
stay strong and try not to think the worst.... they'll help her

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Please don't blame yourself. You're doing a great job. Taking care of a newborn is hard enough without the issues you've been dealing with. You need to take care of yourself too. Even if you take a quick walk around the block, you may feel a little better. I hope you get some answers at Yale tomorrow. Good luck.

Re: Help.... I'm going to have a nervous breakdown (LONG)...
I am so sorry that you and your DD are going through all of this. Please don't blame yourself. You are a wonderful mom and did nothing to make this happen to your DD. I can relate to your story somewhat in that my DD had the green vomit shortly after birth as well and ended up in the NICU. I too blamed myself, but through experience learned it was nothing I did that made it happen.
I hope you find all the answers you are looking for. I will pray for your DD.

First, get yourself a motion monitor. My DS also had reflux and would gag, I was so worried everynight I wound up getting the angel care monitor.
do you have a swing?I have the FP papasan, first DS HATED it but I kept putting him in it over and over and withi a couple days he loved it!
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this and everything goes well tomorrow.

Re: Help.... I'm going to have a nervous breakdown (LONG)...
I am sorry you are going thru all of this---being a new mom is hard enough without any added stuff!! And you are not a bad mom, you have nothing to be ashamed about!!!! I hope you get some needed answers tomorrow and I was also going to suggest the angel care monitor for your peace of mind. My DS was in the NICU for issues with apnea, so I can totally understand the fear you have, I remember waking up at night feeling the same way if DS was quiet. You are a good mom, you are doing everything you can for DD, this will get better!!!!! Please know we are all here for you!
