help please. Your advice would be great!!
Hi Ladies, I didn't know where to post this but since I'm dealing with an infertility doctor I thought this was the best place! Here's my story sorry if its long.
On Wednesday November 20th I ovulated. I usually get my period around 17 days after I O so I would be due for my period tomorrow. Last Saturday/Sunday I felt what I thought was implantation cramping and on Monday I had a little brownish mucus. Monday - today I've had a positive pregnancy test but it has been very light and not getting darker. Today I went for blood work and my hcg was a 13 and my progesterone was a 2.3.....so the doctor doesn't think it looks good. But could I just be too early? Or with that low of a progesterone is there no hope? I'm going back on Monday for a retest. Any advice or story would be great! Thanks.

I think they are probably most concerned about your HCG (BETA) level. I think they like to see the number around 50 at 14dpo. Did they give you any progesterone?
As for your pregnancy test not getting darker, I (personally) do not believe that is a good indication of if the pregnancy is viable. I took two tests (7dp5dt and 8dp5dt) and my test did not get any darker. I quit testing since my beta confirmed pregnancy. I am now 19+ weeks pregnant.
Best of Luck!!

They seemed slightly concerned about the hcg being a 13 but if that triples by Monday then I think it will be ok. They were more concerned about the progesterone. They did not give me supplements. I guess I will find out more on Monday. But from what I am reading it doesn't seem good. I'm actually confused as to how I can have such a low progesterone level but I have ovulated. For my son at this stage the lab screwed up my blood work. Maybe the same thing is happening who knows

I find it strange they did not offer you progesterone. I would call tomorrow and request some just to be safe.

My BETA was a 5 which was a chemical. My RE said he saw low levels like mine work out only a few times. Yours is a bit higher so there is a chance it can work. There is a website that has first BETAS and how many pregnancies they resulted in. Its betabase.info. I looked up 14dpo and a beta of 13 showed 112 pregnancies. On 17 DPO there were 8 pregnancies in that range. You can see where most people's betas are at any DPO. As for your progesterone I would push to be on vaginal suppositories. For every IUI and IVF I was on progesterone suppositories. I would call your RE tomorrow and get them asap.
