How do you know if your baby has texture issues with eating?
DS, 10 months, seems to have trouble accepting and keeping down anything grainy (like bananas mixed with oatmeal). He grimaces and then will throw it up.
Any insight is appreciated.

I don't really have an answer for you but my DD who is 7 months old this week seems to gag on things with texture also, like peas, some stage 2 food which are not finely blended. I was hoping this is something she'll grow out of!

my ds 8.5 months old is the same way... he is getting better, but i think its case by case... each kid gets used to it at their speed.

DS never really gagged or threw up from eating, but he definitely preferred some foods over others. For example, he'd eat cubed chicken, not shredded. He would have al dente pasta, not overcooked pasta. He's 2 and still eats that way. Weird... but I go with it.
