How do you tell the difference between Braxton Hicks and reg. contractions?

Since about 8 pm I have been feeling something very low...it doesnt hurt but its like my muscles are clenching and then release. Its happened about 6 times in the last hour and fifteen minutes. I also have AF like cramps off and on during this too

For me braxton hicks contractions felt like my stomach was a ziplock bag with all the air sucked out. It was SO hard and tight but it did not hurt at all. also, I couldnt really tell when they stated and stopped.

Labor contractions, I KNEW the very first one that it was a contraction. They had a very clear start and stop time and a peak in the middle. They were painful (but tolerable).

and see if they are regular at all
