20 minutes. We are in Sayville and he is in West Islip.
I don't mind the minor commute because they are THAT good. It takes a while for me to trust and I really trust them - that's critical for me. And he is near the hospital if - God Forbid - we need to be there.

Yes its not around the block from us, but I trust him. If it was an honest to God, need help asap type of thing, I'd call an ambulance, kwim?
Originally, our ped was 30 minutes+, but he was my ped, and my Boy Scout leader, and almost a father to me.
After he died, we switched to someone about 2 miles away, for convenience sake.

Ditto. We can walk there in 10 minutes.
ETA: We actually have walked there. DH and I used to take DS in the stroller when he was little if the weather was nice.
My 1st ped was about 15 minutes away by car. DS had to be seen 3 times during his 2nd week bc of jaundice and I decided then that it was just too far - didn't help that the waits were long. Luckily I had already scheduled an interview with my current ped and she is only 2-3 minutes away. I find that it makes ped vsits much more convenient, especially if you have a screaming/sick child.

DD's doc is about 25 mins away. We had one that was literally 5 mins away but i really didn't like the practice at all. it doesn't bother me to have to drive a little further.

ITA. My ped is about 30 min away. I'm in Queens and she is in Oceanside. I had a terrible experience with the ped near my house so I switched and now I only trust her. She was actually my ped when I was a kid.

I live in Whitestone too! Our ped is 5-10 mins away in Bayside.
Who do you use? I had multiple friends tell me they were not happy with certain Drs in the area.
I just went with our current Ped, since my good friend brings her kids there and loves them.

About 15 minutes. We moved and there was no way I was going to leave his practice.
If it was a true emergency then we would go straight to the hospital, which is about the same distance, maybe a bit further, from my house to the ped.

just up the block. 2 minute drive.
We recently switched. I was traveling to Mineola, which was anywhere from 20-45 minutes, depending on traffic!

Ours is about a 3 minute drive. It just happend that way he came highly recomended and it was just a plus that the office is a couple blocks from our house.
When i was growing up our ped was about 15mins away.

i didn't even look at location when picking. i needed someone who i could tolerate. lucked out with the proximity and the nicest doctor i've ever met =)

15-20 minutes. Except for emergencies (that would require me to go to a hospital anyway!), we only go for well visits and the occasional sick visits.
