At my old ped. practice we would always wait at least 30 minutes, plus you waited again once you were in a room...it was a large practice, but I think they were too large even for the amount of doctors, PAs, and NPs they had.

We switched to a smaller practice and have never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room (I haven't seen another person waiting for peds. in the waiting room either!) and about 3-5 minutes in the room, but the nurse does her initial stuff during that time. They book their appointments far enough apart that it isn't a big back-up or a rush to move on to the next patient.

That is why I "broke up" with our ped. Lengthy waits of at least an hour were the norm and that was uacceptable to me. He overscheduled and even though I really liked him, he was inconsiderate of our time so I left him.....but not before calmy and kindly telling him exactly why I would no longer utilize his services.

at our old office anywhere from 35min to an 1hr 35 min.. i used to walk out with high blood pressure because i would be so angry... i found a new office due to this a slew of other reasons, i now only wait 5 min tops 15

usually only 10 minutes or so. I think 1 time I waited 25 that was the longest ever and DD is almost 4 yrs old. To me, waiting an hour each time is unacceptable.

OMG we have been there 3 times also. 2 times were just for a weight check. The first visit (right after Ethan got out of the hospital) we waited a good hour and 15 minutes.
For the weight checks- about a half hour. My husband and I were p!ssed we had to wait that long!!! Its ridiculous!!!!!

The longest we've ever waited in under 5 mins.

i don't wait. we go right into a room and wait there maybe 5 minutes tops.

i think once i had to wait in the waiting room 5 minutes first.

We usually wait between 5-20 minutes.

At out first pediatrician's office they had ridiculously long waits (sometimes longer than an hour for a sick visit), and we were not happy. The one ped that we went to see left that practice and started his own, we now go to his office and wait no more than 5 minutes.

Forever. Sometimes 2+ hours. I've seen parents storm out w/o seeing the ped.

My old Ped. FOREVER. Even with an appointment. At least an hour every time.

I finally listened to DH and switched last year. Now we never ever wait more then 3-5 minutes ( even on emergency visits)
