Before we had a baby I said I wanted three, now I say that DS will be an only child unless we adopt. I cannot put my body through the ringer again.

We have 2 now (4 year old and 6 month old), both boys. We plan on ttc #3 this summer, praying for a girl but another little guy would be just fine for us

i really want 3.. i have 1 DD already.. hoping for #2 soon... and then possibly a #3 if #2 comes soon and all goes well.. we'll see... DH is ok with 3 also

we def want one more which would make 2, and possibly a 3rd down the road depending on how pregnancy #2 is (being pregnant with my DS was very rough).

If the next one is a girl then we will stop- I always wanted 2 Boys 2 Girls- so we will see- what ever the big man upstairs has in store for us!

We always said 4. Rolling out of the c/s with DS we already started talking about #2. Then DS was colicky for almost 3 months and I worried if I was going to want anymore at all. Now that DS is 5.5 months and a pure joy we are back to 4 again. Hoping to ttc this summer as long as I get the all clear with some health issues I'm having.

DH would be happy with 2 and I'd like 2 maybe 3. Our first is just 10 days old so we'll see how this goes.

I would like to have 3.
But after the pregnancy I just had, I'm not sure I want to do it again...  I am SO deathly afraid of rupturing that disc again, and I'm not sure how I would make it going through all that pain again.
If I could be GUARANTEED never to have those problems, I would do it again and again. I would definitely like to have at least 2--I don't want DD to be an only child.

I guess I'm in minority , but I always wanted just one child. Now that I have DD , sometimes I do think I want to have another baby at some point . Not any time soon though, maybe 3-4 years or so. DH also thinks he wants one more at some point, but he is just as happy with one for now. It also and mostly depends on my health and what the drs say down the road.
I always wanted two, even before I met DH. Now, I can honestly say that I could be totally happy with one. DD is awesome but she runs us ragged.  I just don't know if I could handle another. I'm also 37. But I know that I am not ready to commit to just one because I am not willing to give away any of the baby things.
