we probably paid more than what we could have bought it for today, but that was also because we were looking in the middle of the "tax incentive" time and kept facing bidding wars... we are in south shore nassau

just bought a house in Levittown (Island trees SD) for $365,000- 3 BRs, 2 full baths, living room, den, office, garage, IGP. I think we got a fair price

In 2005 we bought a 4 bedroom 1 bath cape on a 60 x 100 property for $369k. It was an estate sale. The house sold for $10k over asking. They had one open house and 12 offers on the house.

<$300K. we bought in 2000. It's a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, hi ranch. Property is 75 by 180. Although we've been here 11 years, it's not our forever home. Not actively looking now though for a few reasons.
Forgot to add that we are north shore Nassau.

We paid in the mid $550 range back in 2005 for a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath splanch in Wantagh (levittown schools) on a 69 x 101 lot

We bought our house in 2004 just at the start of the craziness, we paid $260,000
Its a 5 bedroom, 3 full bath with waterviews & deeded beach rights. We are in northeastern Suffolk. Exit 68 on the LIE. Our taxes were over $8,000 but we greived them several times and now they are a hair under $6,000
its good, easy living out here for people that don't work in the city.

These are large price ranges...
With that said we are hopefully going into contract on a house and paying a hair over 300K in suffolk.

We will be entering contract for our house for $234k. We live in NC outside of Raleigh. The house is a 3BD with a bonus room, around 2300 sq ft, on .76 acres

We built about 26 yrs. ago, and DH did most of the work; It was under $50,000, and today it is worth about $189,500, according to Zillow; During the housing boom it was worth over $220,000. Ah, yes, those were the days!! It's just a small house. Mary

$410,000 in West Islip- North of Union, South of Sunrise.
I think we overpaid. We would never get what we paid now- even after remodeling the gross bathroom. We bought in 2009.

between 500-599k in 2001 in Huntington (Harborfields): 3br/2ba on 1 acre (The home needed to be updated inside and out. We purchased it for the property & location.)
