DH will not allow me to get fancy cakes....we have to go to Fortnato's in Brooklyn so that it tastes VERY good....
I got my wedding cake at Fortunato's--they can get pretty fancy--I had a VERY traditional wedding cake with the little tiers holding up each level. It was sooooo good. But I think DD's B-Day cake cost almost as much as our wedding cake and it was for 15-20 people vs. 70 people at our wedding.

thanks! Well, if you are ever in Hoboken, you HAVE to go to Sweet on 4th and Garden. They are mainly a cupcake bakery and they are outrageous. Blows away Crumbs and Carlos (Cake Boss) by MILES!

$26. $20 for the pan, $6 for the colors and a box of cake mix.
I made the cake, frosting and colored the frosting and DH decorated the cake.

I don't remember how much I spent for their 1st Bdays, but I always get bakery cakes. To me, it's worth it. I have a huge sweet tooth and can always tell the difference. I lloooooooove a good cake! So do my kids, of course.

I used Lori from lily-cakes and the cake was FANTASTIC!!! It cost around $2 per slice.

Made and decorated it myself.....But it was so stressful I don't recomend it. ANd by the time I bought all the pans and decoratiing stuff......I could have ordered it cheaper....

I think jacens was a $10 cake from walbaums for his own little cake.
The sheet cake, my stepmother got so i imagine that was around $40.
It's a cake. I don't think you need to spend a lot of money on that. He'll forgive you if you don't.

Nothing on DS's. A friend made it for me. The theme was the Very Hungry Caterpillar
For DD, I ordered a small cupcake cake from Dortoni's and 100 cupcakes from the grocery store. Total = $75 Image Attachment(s):
