How much $ do you plan on spending on each DC for the holidays and how old are they?
DD is 4 and has had a x-mas list for a couple of months now  and the toys seems to be getting more $$. She requested 2 American Girl dolls (she's only getting 1) and a lot of other items. I was wondering what an appropriate amount would be to spend.
How much $$ are you planning on spending on each DC and how old are they?

My DS will be 2. I am not spending too much on his birthday or Christmas this year. I am hoping to spend around $150.00 on each, and put money into his bank account.

DS will be 6 months on Christmas Eve.
Since he doesn't understand any of it. We've decided (DH and I) to just put money into his college fund this year. He will get gifts from family and close friends and really won't know if we don't give him anything.

Not really sure, we tend not to get them tons of stuff from us and Santa since they get spoiled by all our family members. My dad already sent his gifts to them and there are about 10 gifts for each of them from him.
It helps that neither one of them ever really asks for anything, even when they see commercials on Nick or whatever. I'm sure as they get older and start putting together lists we'll get them more stuff.

My DD is 4 also and has also had a christmas list for months. We keep trying to brace her that she is not getting everything (or most). My kids are 6 4 & 2 and we will probably spend about $200 per child.

Less than $100. Possibly less than $80.
My parents spoil the crap out of him and look at my pictures, my house already looks like TRU barfed in here

We intend on getting her at least one maybe two holiday outfits.
A picture frame
Buy pictures??
Buy a Xmas ornament which we would have done anyway.
That's it. She doesnt even know my name! Im just that familiar scented person she feels she can trust. Why in god's name would she even CARE about some fat man in a suit or lies from relatives 'pretending' to be a fat man in a suit?!
IMHO I think spending lots of money on a baby for xmas is pretty silly. I've asked for my Dad to buy her Sleeping Beauty in Blue Ray for later and told ALL other relatives and ppl to buy stuff STILL on the registry or give me a check in her name (She now has her own bank account)
Xmas or not, Daycare is expensive  Formula is still needed and so are diapers. Wanna give her a gift? Give her those, something she can use. She still has tons of toys ppl bought for she that she hasn't even recongized yet, she has no need for more. 
Sorry.. maybe Im a little bit of a grinch *shrug*

I just buy things I think he will like and I got them on sale.

Ok, no offense, but can you really blame family and friends for wanting to buy a kid something fun? I know my family will give ANYTHING over money, clothes, shoes, toys.

You are not a grinch at all. As a BTDT mom I agree with you in not spending a lot of $ on babies/kids that are so young. They have no concept of what's going on but believe me they will get it, I know DD has .
We won't be spending a lot of $ on DS who is only 7 months but I know family will buy him stuff. DD who is 4 will do well as usual. As parents, we get as much joy, if not more, out of it as she does.

I really don't keep track. Probably too much but I'm a sucker for Christmas and opening present Christmas morning.
We don't overextend ourselves so I think that's what is really important. Spend what you are comfortable with and can afford.

My two older boys want the expensive stuff (games,electronics) so I never get away cheap with them!
The baby on the other hand will be spoiled by my family and he has way tooooo much already. So one or two things to rip open is good! I could actually wrap up empty boxes and he would be just as happy!!lol

I am the same way...this is DS first Christmas and he is nearly one and is honestly outgrowing a lot of his toys. I know he may never rembmer but we have fun buying him new things ....we won't go crazy and I don't have a dollar amount in mind but I shop sales and will probalby make a list in the next week or so

DD is two and a half. We will be spending $50-$75 this yr. on toys, putting $500 into her 529 account for college.  
Relatives have already gotten her TONS of toys, clothes and stuff.

HONESTLY, the babies are small so I would say 150.00-200.00
the older kids last year i went waaaaaay overboard because of the new babies and things they needed and spent about 1000.00 each...
looks like its about the same for them this year...the older they get the more money...
I do not get them things during the yearor spoil them, its clothes and a laptop or Ipod...whatever...

DS will only be 3.5 months. we bought him elmo live (75.00 w/ shipping) , and I may get him a few more toys, I don't want to spend more than 125.00. He won't even know what to do w/ any toys yet

Wow, I think we go a little overboard.  They each usually get one big ticket item, and then lots of little things (that quicly add up). Plus, they are super spoiled by both sides of our huge families!!
If I had to put a price on each child, it probably nears $300+... (and DH is worse than me when it comes to spending!!).
